Let me start
off with a disclaimer – the original thoughts below were shared by a traveling
pastor who stayed in our home many years ago.
It’s also probably one of the most popular passages in the Psalms. I've expanded a bit on his original words.
For his text
that night, he chose Ps. 37:3-5. The
verses say (emphases added by me):
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and feed
on His faithfulness.
4 Delight yourself also in the Lord,
and He shall give you the desires of
your heart.
5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust also
in Him, and He will bring it to
pass.
